out all evening

I just thought this was a cool picture.  We were out all evening enjoying the company of friends who live in another state.  There was lots of laughter and stories but little time at home.  We plan to do it again tomorrow night.  Hopefully, I will have some time at home so I can actually post the recipe those beautiful farmer's market eggs belong to!

it is one of those Mondays

I had ideas of what I would post here.  But I fell.

On top of my bicycle as I was trying to put it away.

I am bumped, bruised, twisted, scraped, and cut.  There is blood on my dress and I am weepy.  This was not the afternoon or the post I thought I would have.  So I thought I would share some flowers from my garden.

I do not know what tomorrow will bring when it comes to movement.  My arthritic conditions were not happy with my today anyhow and I was moving slowly.  I just hope to be moving tomorrow.  I wish are little cob Teahouse was finished.  I would curl up with  a book, read, and heal.  Pots of tea and maybe soup.  Right this moment though, it is time to rest.

Tonight we celebrated my birthday.  Or I received my Christmas present.  Or you could say both.  We went to OvO by Cirque De Sole.  It was absolutely fabulous!  With a group who has a tendency to be adrenaline junkies, I think many ideas were given and the wishes for a "recreation room."  The laughter, the smiles, and the joy are huge.

My beloved family:  Thank you so much!

saturday errands

I have been going to the farmer's market on Saturdays on my bicycle.  I have been going for milk.  I am working on the yogurt recipe.  My Beloved likes thick yogurt and mine is not consistently thick.  I keep working on it but the yogurt keeps getting eaten!  When I get it consistent, I will post again.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

One of the things I have been buying myself is flowers.  I love flowers and they brighten my kitchen so.  Such a simple treat.

finding some peace

The last couple weeks have been difficult  And then my Grandmother fell.  She broke her hip and had to have a partial hip replacement last night.  It was just not an extra stress I needed.  When I feel that way, a pot of tea and weaving after work helps.  My Beloved joined me on the floor to chat and feed me roasted broccoli from the garden.  He likes to watch me and noticed I am getting faster.  He asks me questions about the pattern and colors.  I am always so excited when I can change color.  The measurements are so exact!  The number of fingers.  Four, three, two, three, four.

He even likes he waves because I am having trouble with tension.  Learnings.  This rug will never be perfect but I have learned a lot.  I learn more every day.  The next one will be better because I think there will always be another one.  And I have a yearning for a dye bath and white sheets to see what that would make.

Peace is breathing one day at a time.  One minute at a time.  And doing that next task.  Very much a blessing.
