Purples quilt

The quilt for sale is a nine square quilt made with 100 nine square blocks using squares that are 2.5 by 2.5 inches.

This quilt is made of multi-coloured cottons but it just feels purple to me.  I think it is the purple squares on the diagonals.

The back is a thrifted cotton calicoes with nine square strips between.  I actually think I like the back better then the front.

The batting is 100% organic cotton.

The quilt is machine pieced and quilted on a treadle sewing machine.  The binding is stitched on the treadle in place and then I finish it by hand.  The corners of the binding are mitered.

The quilt is approximately 52 inches by 52 inches.

The quilt is machine washable and dryable.  I wash tap cold and normally hang dry but that has more to do with washing preferences.  It is machine dryable. I always wash tap cold.  With care, I have had a quilt of this type last for over 30 years.

The price is $500 plus $20 shipping.
